Adelaide Joshua-Hill’s passion is creativity, storytelling, developing people and companies to their full potential. In her role as Head of Creative and Content at Urban Brew Studios she is able to bring this to life.
As an Executive Producer she has worked on LIVE Amp, the biggest music show in South Africa; YOTV, the longest running youth show; Makoti which holds the record for most viewed drama series; and Khumbul’Ekhaya, the most renowned; to name a few. She has also been involved with international formats such as Friends like These, that achieved a successful 14-year run, and Top Chef Season 1. Her recent accomplishments include executive producing the first Netflix reality series in Africa. Adelaide is an expert in the genres of youth, reality and scripted entertainment as well as factual and faith based content.
A leader in the production industry, Adelaide is motivated by developing and upskilling her peers as well as well as inspiring a shared vision amongst her colleagues.
Adelaide completed a diploma in Speech and Drama at Natal Technikon. In 2009 she joined Urban Brew Studios and started working in the YOTV department. Adelaide was accepted into a senior management course at GIBS, which she completed in 2016, graduating with a distinction. She was promoted to Head of Unscripted in 2016. In 2017 she became part of the EXCO team at Urban Brew Studios, where she is currently Head of Creative and Content.
Coming from a semi-rural background, her dreams and goals have motivated her to be the best person she can be. She considers her strengths her interpersonal skills and creativity. Her personal motto is, “ I’m alive with possibilities”
