Duncan Irvine is the founder and CEO of Rapid Blue, one of the biggest content producers in African. Rapid Blue launched in South Africa as a trailblazer in the area of Channel Branding, On-Air Design and Promotion some 27 years ago and under his leadership the company has won an impressive number of awards both locally and in the USA. Never one to rest on his laurels, Irvine soon expanded the Rapid Blue offering to include long form and digital content, producing a staggering amount of award-winning work, including an Emmy, for both original content and some of world’s best loved formats such as Dancing with The Stars, X-Factor, Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, Idols, Come Dine With Me, Dragons Den, Shark Tank and many more, whilst spreading the Rapid Blue footprint from South Africa to Angola, Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, New York, London & Asia, and brought the BBC in as a shareholder. With a host of experience and knowledge under his belt, from programme production, to programme sales, marketing, product placement, branded entertainment, media strategy, advertising, sales and distribution, Irvine’s focus is on finding, content and funding solutions, for platforms and brands across Africa.
